Radio Promotions:
I started out at Concrete, when it was one company handling Music marketing and management, in 1988. Then I engineered at a couple of recording studios as Max Norman's asst (producer of many of the classic Ozzy records) for 2 albums - then went onto the road as guitar tech/stage manager for 3 years (for bands like Wrathchild America and Pantera during the “Cowboys From Hell” tour). On a tip from a friend, got hired by Epic Records and stayed there for 7 years in Artist Development, helping to break bands like Korn, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, Oasis, Incubus and many, many more). Laid off in late 1997, I started my own consulting company (SP Unlimited), but shelved it as I was hired at NG Records (soon acquired by Artemis Records) for 5 years, helping break Kittie, Kurupt and the Baha Men. Another pink slip followed as they hit the lean years, and off I went to Spitfire Records - started as Radio Promotion guy, expanded into Marketing, then Online, then Product Management, then Production (too!) as the company became smaller here in the States and they switched from audio (CDs) into more and more music DVDs. After their downsizing, I resurrected SP Unlimited in 2005 and do that full time now (and also include consulting and management services). Current and past clients include Reprise Records, Koch (now E1 Entertainment), Live Nation (where I marketed and promoted their media rights products), Locomotive Music (I was their US Head of Operations & opened, staffed and supervised their US offices), Eagle Rock Entertainment, Landshark Promotions, Sonomax Headphones, Blistering records and many signed and unsigned acts.
